Switch. Save. Get on.

Switch bills. Not your sanity.

Simple tools to check energy quotes against your bill and pick the right broadband speed.

Use the rates from your bill and from the quote. Run it once for electricity and once for gas.

A rough rule of thumb, not a guarantee. Check what's available at your address.

  • When does your current contract end, and are there exit fees?
  • Compare the total yearly cost, including standing charges and any set-up fees.
  • Is the price fixed, and for how long? Check what happens when the deal ends.
  • Check for mid-contract price rises and how they work.
  • Take meter readings or a note of your current speed before you switch.

Don't pay for speed you won't use

Most households are well served by a mid-range fibre package. Use the speed guide to check.

Submit meter readings

Accurate readings stop estimated bills. Take a photo of your meter when you switch.

How we make money

These sites are free to use. Many links to flights, hotels, products and services are affiliate links. If you click one and make a booking or purchase, the company may pay us a commission. It never adds to the price you pay.

We work with affiliate networks such as Travelpayouts. We don't charge companies to be listed, and partners can't pay to change our tips or advice. Commission can affect which companies appear on the site.

Prices and availability shown by partners change quickly, so always check the final price before you book. Fares and prices shown on our pages may be cached and out of date.

Our money, energy and broadband pages give general information and simple calculators only. They are not financial advice, and we don't currently compare insurance, loans or other regulated financial products.

Privacy notice

Other companies

Some content loads straight from other companies, who can see your IP address when it does: fonts from Google Fonts, photos from Wikipedia and Wikimedia, and partner search widgets. When you click an affiliate link, the partner and the affiliate network (for example Travelpayouts) record the visit so we can be paid. Their own privacy policies apply from that point.
